click to enlarge	Lurs is situated on a hill of 620 m from where you have a splendid view to the whole environment. In the south, you can see the fields of olive trees with, in the background, the Durance the course of it gives this region a special character. On the horizon, the plateaus of Riez and Valensole appear with its fields of blue lavender and golden corn. In the north, you have the mountain Lure with large domaines of wild growing thyme and rosemary and other typical plants of the Provence.
Inbetween this magical nature is situated Lurs , classified as a historical site, with its beautiful narrow lanes and its houses built of natural stones. At the entry of this pituresque village, the former summer residence of the princes and electors of Sisteron is situated which accommodates now the hotel "Le Séminaire".
