At the foot of Mount Lure, halfway between Sisteron and Forcalquier, lies Vitaverde - le Claus. Built by a squire of Louis XIV, the house has weathered centuries in its majestic setting. Six cozy guest apartments and four spacious, comfortable B&B rooms await you year round. At your disposition are the common room with library and board-games, a ping-pong table, boules field, children's play-structure, and a refreshing spring-fed fountain (XIX century). Scattered across the 1.5 hectares of gently-sloping property are many tranquil corners. In the shade of the 100-year-old lindens, the view stretches past the plateaux of Ganagobie and Valensole, all the way to the Verdon mountains.

Vitaverde - a green Eden
In this area that enjoys Europe's purest air, with over 300 sunny days a year, the clear nights invite stargazing. From the house, hikers may explore Mount Lure, while cyclists may wander down the lavender-bordered country lanes. Admire the Romanic churches of Ganagobie, Salagon, Cruis, and Notre Dame de Lure. The market at Forcalquier will dazzle you with the colors and scents of the land; the Grand Canyon of the Verdon will take your breath away. After the bustling activity of Aix-en-Provence, Avignon, or the Côte-d´Azur, the calm of Vitaverde will embrace you.

avendar, Rosemary, Savory, Thyme, Basilic....are the names of our five apartments, equipped to receive between two to five people.

Four comfortable guestrooms with all accommodations (Bathroom, Toiletts, TV, Web-access) are offered as Bed & Breakfast.
