At a mere 5 Kms from the famous gorges of the Verdon, the domain of the Château de Chanteraine is typically Provençal. The château overlooks the clear blue waters of the Sainte-Croix lake, 2200 hectares in size, where you can either take advantage of the peaceful surroundings, or participate in the numerous activities available.

A Seignorial fief of the 12th century, "Chanteraine" has managed to maintain its ancient Provençal aura, whilst at the same time providing comfortable accomodation. Whether you choose a room or a suite, you will be surprised to find ancient, traditional furniture in the rooms: a favourable setting for relaxation and rest.

In the centre of the Park of the Verdon, the domain of Chanteraine, is set in perfect surroundings, if you wish to discover this beautiful part of Provence. Whilst at Chanteraine, you can enjoy the deep green waters of the Verdon and its breathtaking gorges, the vast lake of Sainte-Croix, the picturesque nearby villages, or you could even take part in the numerous daring sporting activities available such as climbing, rafting, hydrospeed, hang-gliding or parascending. For the less adventurous, you could enjoy a ride on the shores of the lake on one of the 25 horses waiting for you at the farm belonging to the chateau.
