Cultural Centers and Museums

Geological Nature Reserve
28 fossile sites scttered over 20 communes (10 in the Alpes de Haute Provence and 10 in the Vaucluse). The aim of the reserve is to control excavations and to develop certain sites for educational and information purposes.

Historical Museum of the Pays d'Aigues
This museum was opened by the Luberon Park in the cellars of the castel of La Tour d'Aigues. Here you can follow the development of the Pays d'Aigues over centuries from its celtic-ligurian origins.

Paleontology Museum
To inform, educate and instruct without being boring, is the aim of this museum, located in the vaulted cellar of the park House in Apt. Here you can learn about the geology and paleontology of the luberon. A voyage back through time 130 million years.

Castel of Buoux
Located in the heart of the massif, the castle of Buoux is the property of the luberon nature Park. It is a multipurpose meeting center focusing on subjects related to nature, heritage and the discovery of the region. It can accommodate groups and is equipped to allow them to develop their projects whatever they are: "green classes on the region's heritage, holidays, gatherings on special topics, training courses, seminars, conferences, meetings...
