20km. northeast of Castellane, between Demandolx and St Auban.

Soleilhas is nestled in a valley completely surrounded by mountains and forests and overlooksan immense plain bordered by the river Esteron. The name "Soleilhas" can be translated as meaning "Looking at the sun", and that is exactly what it does.

Here you will discover sloping narrow streets, fountains, ancient stone staircases and beautiful houses mounting up the streets.

In the winter, Soleilhas has a snow stadium that tranforms the village into a snowy paradise for children. Whatever the age beginners can learn to manage the rope tow and ski down the bunny slope for free and in total security.

A center for cross country and alpine skiing offers all kinds of skiing from classic to monoski, surf, and more, with reasonable prices for everyone.

Chapel St. Pierre in Hameau des Colettes.
