What are the must-see places on Levant island?
The village of Héliopolis
The village of Héliopolis has been the heart of the island since 1931. You will discover its central square with its two café terraces facing each other. The bakery, grocery store, town hall, and post office create an authentic village atmosphere.
The church overlooks this lively little center. The flower-filled streets and Mediterranean gardens of the inhabitants offer a permanent colorful spectacle.
The Grottes Beach
The Grottes Beach is the only fine sand beach on the island that is accessible to the public. Nestled at the end of a 10-minute coastal path from the port, it offers exceptional crystal-clear water.
This beach is reserved for naturists and has a beach volleyball court. Access is via the Georges Rousseau path south of the port of Ayguade.
The Arbousiers Nature Reserve
This nature reserve, created in 1993, offers 20 hectares of marked trails north of the village. It rises to 130 meters and has 14 themed stations where you can discover the flora and fauna.
You can see remarkable arbutus trees with reddish bark, rosemary, myrtle, and rockroses. Several benches allow you to admire the unspoiled Mediterranean landscapes.
The port of Ayguade
An unmissable destination, the port of Ayguade offers breathtaking views of the island's rugged coastline. The climb up to the village via “La Perspective” reveals lush gardens and panoramic sea views.

How to get to Île du Levant?
From Hyères
Board the TLV-TVM ferry from Port Saint-Pierre in Hyères, which runs all year round. The crossing takes around 1.5 hours to Port de l'Ayguade.
The Mistral bus lines 63 and 65 will drop you off at the “Port Saint-Pierre” stop. Free parking is available at Quai des Pêcheurs, the racecourse, and Arromanches.
From Le Lavandou
The Vedettes Iles d'Or company operates the “Le Corsaire” ferry from the port of Le Lavandou. The crossing takes 30 to 45 minutes and can be booked online.
The Nouveau Port car park near the ferry terminal offers free long-stay parking. Other paid parking spaces are available in the town center.
