By car, Avignon is located on the A7 motorway, a major route connecting Lyon to Marseille. From Paris, it takes about 6 hours to drive there. The A9 also serves the city from Montpellier and Spain.
By plane, Avignon-Provence Airport is located 8 kilometers from the city center. It mainly serves business aviation, with limited commercial flights.
