La Bastide des Jourdans
On the D955, between Pertuis (16km) and Manosque (17km).

La Bastide des Jourdans is a peaceful village, situated in the Aigues valley in the southern Luberon..
Founded at the beginning of the 13th century by the Comte de Forcalquier, La Bastide des Jourdans takes its name from its first nobles, the knights Guillaume and Pierre Jourdan who built the first "bastide" or large country house here.

La Bastide des Jourdans is a walled village perched at an altitude of 428m. It is dominated by a 13th century chateau, the remains of which can still be seen.
fffBetween its medieval towers, 19th century constructions are inserted, giving the whole a rather singular look.

A large choice of very pleasant and relatively easy walking trails can be taken through the surrounding countryside.
