Discover the Luberon village of Puget sur Durance
Puget sur Durance is a quiet village in the Luberon region of southern Vaucluse, on the border of the Durance and Bouches du Rhône rivers. Puget's wealth lies not in its architectural or historical heritage, but in its natural surroundings.

Hiking in the Luberon
The Luberon massif offers superb hiking opportunities. Nature is generous and verdant. Holm oaks and bushes lead to pleasant undergrowth interspersed with rocks and cliffs. The Bergerie de la Tapy refuge offers a pleasant stopover.

The Cedar Forest and Portalas
From Puget, it's easy to reach the famous Cedar Forest, the Portalas site and the beautiful views over the Durance valley. The view extends as far as the Alpilles and, on the Aix-en-Provence side, as far as Mont Sainte Victoire.

A good restaurant to recommend
There aren't many restaurants in this small village. Nevertheless, “La Guinguette” is a very pleasant typical bar-restaurant. The menu is simple but of high quality, and the atmosphere friendly. You'll have a great time.

Vineyard tour at Château La Verrerie
Among the many wineries in the commune of Puget sur Durance, we recommend guided tours of Château La Verrerie. A superb organic winery, very well done educational tours and a very pleasant tasting. Book on their website.
No relation to the famous “Puget” olive oil
No, Lesieur's famous “Puget” olive oil is not made from olives grown in this Luberon village. It's an industrial olive oil blending cheap olives from Spain, Greece and Italy. Nothing to do with our good local olive oils from small producers.
