How do I get to Riboux?

Access to Riboux is quite unusual, as the village is located at the end of a small dead-end road. The starting point is near the OK Corral amusement park, on the Route Nationale 8 connecting Cuges-les-Pins to Le Beausset. For travelers using public transportation, plan for an additional mode of transportation such as a taxi, as service is limited in this remote corner of the department.

Where is Riboux?

Riboux enjoys an exceptional location, perched at an altitude of 518 meters on the southern slope of the Sainte-Baume massif. This small commune in the Var department benefits from an unusual location, which explains its unspoiled charm. Curiously, although it is administratively part of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and the Var department, its postal code (13780) places it in the Bouches-du-Rhône department.

What to do in Riboux?

The main attractions to visit in Riboux are linked to its rural heritage and natural wealth. The surrounding landscape, immortalized in the films of Claude Berri, offers breathtaking views of the entire massif. Must-see sites include the Church of Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue-Sainte-Marie with its bell from 1717 and the Chapel of Sainte-Agathe, a small religious building steeped in history. Hiking enthusiasts will particularly enjoy the two chapels trail, which leads to Saint-Pilon, a historic site offering exceptional views. Don't forget to stop in front of the old cade ovens, which bear witness to the traditional activity of pine resin extraction that made the village famous.
