Close to Lac de Castillon for swimming and fishing
Castillon lake is just a stone's throw away, where you can swim, fish, go boating and enjoy many other water sports. It's the ideal place to cool off in fine weather, and its turquoise waters will blow you away!
Hiking and paragliding
For hiking enthusiasts, Saint-André offers marked trails to the peaks surrounding the valley, where paragliders and delta wings are flown at the paragliding school(site of the 1993 World Cup).
Tourism: the Pignes train

The market
The St André les Alpes market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday morning on Place Marcel Pastorelli (see our map). It's a friendly market, where you'll find plenty of local producers to stock up on good Verdon produce.

What to do in Saint-André-les-Alpes?
After visiting the pretty historic center of the village of Saint André, go hiking in the Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon, where there are a number of very pleasant trails around Lac de Castillon and in the heights. After your hike, enjoy the turquoise waters of the lake. If you have a little time, take a ticket for the Train des Pignes, an authentic old train that will let you admire the beauty of the region.
