Discover the high-altitude village of Saint Just in the Alpes de Haute Provence
Saint-Jurs is a small village perched on a hill at an altitude of 825m, away from the main roads. It's the highest village on the Valensole plateau, surrounded by the splendid nature typical of Haute Provence, which you can discover on long walks through the beautiful Mont Denié forest.

A superb church covered in bees
In addition to its tranquility and beautiful natural surroundings, Saint Jurs is blessed with a parish church whose vault is covered not with stars, but with bees. This discovery was made following a tragedy. The church and chapel of Saint George are well worth a visit.

Beautiful hikes to the Col de Saint Jurs
The marked trails leading to the Col de Saint Jurs (1318m) offer routes suitable for all levels. A gradual gradient enables the summit to be reached in around 2h30, where a pretty view of the Valensole plateau rewards walkers. Experienced hikers will appreciate the crest trail to Montdenier Mountain, while families will appreciate the 5km panoramic loop. In summer, set off early in the morning to take advantage of the cooler temperatures.
