Drap

From the A8 motorway exit Nice-Est, take the direction of Sospel then La Trinite.

Drap, center of the village
Located between Nice and Monaco, (about 20 minutes from the center of Nice), the village of Drap spreads out along the right bank of the River Paillon set amongst beautiful mediterranean vegetation.
There are a number of hamlets in Drap : Le Fontanil, La Colle, Le Plan de Rimont, Ste Catherine, La Jonquiere, Les Croves, Bottin, Blavet, Le Grec, La Condamine.
Drap, view on the hill
Most of these hamlets can be found in the hills that surround Drap and are expanding fast. (Houses here seem to grow as well as mushrooms!).
From the vantage point of these hills you can discover an extremely beautiful panorama across the high summits of the Alps, the French Riviera and the Esterel range with the prospect of magnificent sunsets framed by the hills.
Drap, bell-tower
The origin of Drap's name, apparently comes from the fabric professions which in times gone by were established on the Cours du Paillon.
If you visit during the antiques markets (in May and September), you'll certainly be able to find some magnificent pairs of hand embroidered, antique sheets.
