Villars sur Var
Villars sur Var is a small medieval village overlooking the River Var valley.
It steps up the hillside at a number of levels and is characterized by beautiful stone-built houses.
Walking around the narrow stone paved narrow streets you will walk past beautiful ancient doorways and medieval vaulted passageways.
Apart from the obvious charm of the village thanks to the "Clos St Joseph", you will be able to appreciate the village wine and vineyard.
These are the only vine fields in the departement to be awarded the "appellation d'origine contrôlée" (A.O.C.) "Côtes de Provence" ...
Villars is extremely proud! Wine tasting is therefore obligatory, especially if it is accompanied by some of the wonderful specialities from the area...
