Discover all the secrets of Villeneuve-Loubet.
A charming old village
At the confluence of the Loup and Mardaric rivers, the village of Villeneuve-Loubet stands on a hill, while the new town and its buildings stretch down to the Mediterranean.

Once you have parked in the large car park on the banks of the Loup, gather your courage and climb up to the old town, built on steps and crowned by its medieval keep. You will be surprised to discover an interesting village with steep streets lined with colorful facades and flower-filled balconies.

A church with a square bell tower
At the top, a large church with a square bell tower is worth a visit (it was built at the end of the 15th century by the Lascaris family), while the castle, hidden behind high walls, will intrigue you: surrounded by a huge park, only the top of its 33-meter watchtower is visible... and you'll be delighted to learn that it can be visited, as the owner, the Marquis de Panisse-Passis, recently decided to open the doors of his home to curious visitors.

The castle of Villeneuve-Loubet
Built by Romée de Villeneuve in the 13th century, the castle consists of four buildings surrounding a trapezoidal inner courtyard.
The keep (9th century) is surrounded by two ramparts with battlements and arrow slits. The castle came into the Panisse-Passis family in 1741 and is surrounded by a 10-hectare park with Mediterranean and exotic trees.
Vaugrenier Park
The Parc de Vaugrenier is home to another listed castle, a former 16th-century villa in the Renaissance style. Half of the commune is covered with forests (hundred-year-old oaks, maritime pines, mimosas, etc.), making it the most wooded of the seaside towns.
The beaches of Villeneuve-Loubet
Villeneuve-Loubet offers over 4 kilometers of Mediterranean coastline with a variety of beaches to suit all tastes. The Maurettes beach, with its fine sand and lifeguard stations, is ideal for families on vacation. Near the Baie des Anges marina, you will discover more intimate coves perfect for swimming and snorkeling. These clean and well-equipped beaches are easily accessible from the center of Villeneuve-Loubet and offer many water activities during the summer season.
