Antibes.

Juan-les-Pins

Juan les Pins is the liveliest part of town. Night owls flock here in summer for street shows, nightclubs, the casino and even night-time shopping... Antibes, on the other hand, is more sedate, with its many restaurants, café-theaters, piano bars, chic hotels and private clubs.

Cap d'Antibes

The Cap d'Antibes is a little corner of paradise that you can discover thanks to a signposted path that runs along the coast and takes you through this immense, prestigious and well-kept park. It's also home to billionaires' châteaux and dream homes; the famous “Eden Roc”, reputed to be the most beautiful hotel in the world, is located here, at the tip of the Cap.

Antibes, a city of history

For many years, Antibes was the only major metropolis between Marseille and Italy. The only town on the coast to have been surrounded by ramparts, it has preserved a rich heritage from every era of its history. Castles, bastions and surrounding towers have now been transformed into museums of modern art, history, archaeology and popular traditions.

Discover old Antibes

Old Antibes is where you'll find most of its treasures. To soak up its atmosphere, take a leisurely stroll through its narrow streets and squares... and let yourself be guided by the charm of its small craftsmen's workshops working with open doors, its shopkeepers, its sun-bleached facades and the good smells of simmering dishes wafting from the old town's windows.

Fort Carré d'Antibes

Perched on the Saint-Roch peninsula, Fort Carré towers 26 meters above sea level. This 16th-century fortress, built under Henri II, is distinguished by its architecture, with four bastions facing Antibes, Nice, France and Corsica. A 4-hectare protected park, classified Natura 2000, surrounds the Fort Carré. Guided tours allow you to discover the Renaissance military architecture and admire a splendid view of the Baie des Anges.

Beaches and coastline in Antibes

25 km of coastline with a succession of pebble and fine sand beaches (private and public), secret coves and no less than 5 ports (Vauban, Galice, Crouton, Olivette and Salis). Those who like to stroll along the quays to admire the boats will be delighted. Port Vauban is Europe's largest marina! Needless to say, when it comes to leisure activities and water sports, the possibilities are endless. We love the Gravette beach, especially out of season.

The Jazz à Juan Festival

The legendary “Jazz à Juan” festival has been bringing together the greatest names in jazz for almost 40 years. From Bechet and Armstrong to Coltrane, Miles Davis and the sublime Ella...they were all there. Even today, the pine forest of Juan les Pins is a meeting place for the “biggest names” (Keith Jarrett) in jazz and the stars of tomorrow.

Technology city: Sophia Antipolis

With Sophia Antipolis, Antibes has been looking to the future and new technologies since the 1960s, launching what is now Europe's leading technology park. Sophia Antipolis is a strategic economic hub, home to numerous research companies, many of which specialize in multimedia. A sort of French Silicon Valley!
