Cereste, church and bell-tower At the foot of the Luberon mountain range, between Forcalquier and Apt, Céreste is a charming village surrounded by beautiful countryside.
You will enjoy walking in the paved streets in the medieval part of the village where beautiful stone houses from the 15th and 18th century can be seen.

At the place de Verdun you can admire the gargoyles on the 17th and 18th century facades.
Many of the old houses have been carefully restored and some have been transformed into hotels while others serve as art studio.

To the west of Céreste (on the Luberon side), the ancient pathway which links the Forcalquier region to the Vallée du Rhône is now a cycle route... make use of it and discover the beauty of the countryside!

On the side of the Alpes de Haute Provence, leaving the village by the left, you can take an enjoyable walk in the picturesque "Nid d'Amour" with its beautiful fountains and old pigeon houses...
You can then visit the priory of Carluc with its archeological curiosities and 13th century Roman chapel.
Céreste enjoys a pleasant microclimate and the evenings are cool, even at the height of summer...
