Discover the small village of Montjustin
Montjustin is a small village of only 54 inhabitants situated in the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon on the border of the Vaucluse and the Alpes de Haute Provence.
Perched on a ridge of the Luberon mountain, Montjustin peacefully overlooks the magnificent Aiguebelle and Encrême valleys.
Thanks to this strategic position, a fort was built at Montjustin in the 11th century... remains of the ramparts and towers can still be seen today.
While walking in the village, you will come across the ruins of a 16th century church behind the townhall, some charming historic houses and the studios of two well-known painters.
Take advantage of the extraordinary view to the north across the Forcalquier region with Reillanne in the fore-ground.
To the south, a marvellous view of the Luberon unfolds before your eyes... even the most seasoned travellers will be impressed! !
