Where to eat?

If you can afford it, don't miss the Michelin-starred restaurant "La Bastide" at the Hôtel Capelongue, with its magnificent views over Bonnieux and the Luberon and its magical setting. We also like the less expensive "César" restaurant, which also has a beautiful view.

What to do in Bonnieux ?

First of all, stroll through the narrow streets of the village, which is breathtakingly beautiful. Admire the pretty Provencal farmhouses, the sublime views over the Luberon, the remains of the towers and ramparts - it's a beautiful walk. You can also visit the highly instructive Bakery Museum. Finally, for the more sporty types, we recommend hiring a bike from Sun e Bike or setting off on one of the many hiking trails that leave from the village.

Bonnieux or Lacoste? Which village to visit?

Bonnieux and Lacoste are two magnificent hilltop villages in the Luberon that are well worth a visit. If you don't have time to do both, then we'd recommend Bonnieux, which is a little bigger, with more shops and terraces and breathtaking views. Lacoste is definitely worth a visit if you have time to do both villages, which are quite different.
